Re: Bowen v Diangana
I think his time in the championship is vastly overrated. Was injured or a sub for large parts of the season. I used to tune in to West Brom games to see how he was getting on and he was largely anonymous or not playing. If the money paid for Soucek then it's money well spent. Haller not so much.

Re: Bowen v Diangana
Wouldn't say he's shown very little, he started very well when he first broke into the team then faded, but done excellent albeit in a lower league.

He had potential to develop, and the fee we sold him for was criminal for someone who has a lot of potential, not to mention english.

The money we got from him will go towards buying Soucek and Haller, as we all know we're behind on payments for Haller.

Re: Bowen v Diangana
Block - I agree it would have been better not to sell him and the lack of anyone being brought into the squad with the money is fucking criminal. There's no doubt this club is going nowhere but down until these cunt owners fuck off.

However, people are talking like Diangana is the second coming of Maradona when he was a potential prospect who has actually shown very little. I actually think selling Diangana is the straw the broke the camel's back rather than as big a problem as it's being made out to be. Shit ground, shit squad, shit manager, hated cunt no class owners are the main issues but Diangana appears to be the thing that's woken everyone up to the obvious - these owners are killing the club and we're fucking shit.

Re: Bowen v Diangana
Vexed, oddly I don't think he's as good as people are suggesting but he clearly had talent to develop into a decent player for us, that's why people are fucked off including SIR MARK NOBLE.

Re: Bowen v Diangana
Yeah madness as a word is maybe too strong for £18m. But given our histor, love of youth coming through and desperate need for pace and enthusiasm...selling Diangana has to be tantamount to madness, if not then what? Idiocy maybe? Cuntishness? Especially when against the wishes of the players, managers & fans. But what else would we expect from these owners? They have done their best to rip the heart and soul out of the club, so why would they really think twice about such easy profit.

Re: Bowen v Diangana
IMO Bowen is better than Diangana. However I feel Diangana would have surpassed Bowens level at some point of his 5 year fcuking contract he signed.

Cu*ts

Re: Bowen v Diangana
I don't think it was madness, he's not particularly good. It does however, leave a bad taste in the mouth.

Time to stop crying about it now. He wasn't going to trouble the first team anyway.

Re: Bowen v Diangana
Bowen is a good player and selling Diangana was madness, we all know it. But what else would we expect from these owners? Get them out and we can move on.

Re: Bowen v Diangana
Fornals will develop, One thing I can't get my head around is continuing with just Antonio up top, Haller needs to play, he's clearly got quality.

Re: Bowen v Diangana
Think Bowen is fantastic personally and can only get better.

I mean we don't play a conventional striker and he's having to play alongside fornals so has done well considering.

Obviously stupid selling grady though.

Re: Bowen v Diangana
Lot of time for Bowen wish we had more like him. He just needs to get a couple under his belt and he will do well. He needs a bit more freedom. It will come for him.

They should both be on the same team, clubs fucked

Re: Bowen v Diangana
Bowen helps out at both end of the pitch, has a much better work rate but not as technical.

Re: Bowen v Diangana
I thought too that Bowen needs improvement in shot selection after his initial great start. But that will come. He works bloody hard as our defence and attack are poor.
Letting Diangana go was such a huge mistake.
Having him here and as option for the opposite wing instead of Fornals or with Fornals in the middle there would of been better competition for places. Seeing Yarmolenko come on was evidence to that.
£18m in the bank is not doing us any good.
Bowen will score again soon and go on a run.

Re: Bowen v Diangana
Why is it when a player has 1 average game we are all on him now? To prove some stupid point against the owners cos they sold a player we didnt even have last season?

Honestly, without Bowen, Antonio and Soucek we'd be talking about playing Brentford on Saturday. Yet all I keep hearing still is Antonio isn't a striker (but he's the leading goal scorer in the league since the restart) and now Bowen isn't better than Grady.. Yet Bowen provides so much defensive cover for our shitty full backs it seems to go unnoticed.

I dunno... fight the right battles.
For the record, Grady wouldn't start for me above Bowen because we need the defensive abilities more than the attacking stuff because we dont really lack goals. What we lack is solid defensive displays.

Re: Bowen v Diangana
Its never easy for a young player to come into a struggling side. Then be expected to bang in goals at the ratio he did in the championship. He is putting him self about though and getting into good positions which is a positive.

Diangana has played a similar amount of Premiership games and has scored the same amount of goals....1.

Best to judge at the end of the season!

Re: Bowen v Diangana
Would have quite liked both.

Bowen more of a scrapper and has better defend from the front capabilities.

Diangana - Slight pacy, tricky.

Both yet to reach full potential.
